Our 7-Step Lawn Fertilization Program
At Chappell Lawn Care, we’ve created a fertilizer and weed control program tailored specifically to the needs of Missouri turf. Our program supports the health and growth of local grass types while providing targeted and effective control of unwanted weeds.
Round 1: Early Spring Foundation (Feb 16 – Mar 27)
Pre-emergent and fertilizer are applied to prevent early weeds and jump-start healthy lawn growth.
Round 2: Spring Growth Boost (Mar 30 – May 8)
A second pre-emergent and fertilizer treatment strengthens turf and keeps new weeds from emerging.
Round 3: Summer Defense & Nutrition (May 11 – Jun 19)
Grub control and fertilizer protect roots while maintaining strong, vibrant growth.
Round 4: Organic Summer Care (Jun 22 – Jul 31)
Organic summer fertilizer feeds your lawn gently during peak heat stress.
Round 5: Continued Organic Nourishment (Aug 3 – Sept 11)
Another organic feeding sustains color and health through late summer conditions.
Round 6: Fall Strengthening Treatment (Sept 14 – Oct 23)
Higher-nitrogen fertilizer promotes recovery, thicker turf, and stronger root development.
Round 7: Winterizer Protection (Oct 26 – Dec 4)
Prepares your lawn for winter stress by reinforcing root systems and preventing the growth of winter annual weeds, which helps maintain turf health throughout the dormant season.
